August is a high peak season in Bali. Divers flock here from around the world to see the Mola-mola; which you can call it the Sunfish or the Moonfish.
On 7th August 2010, we happily set out on our mola-mola hunting in Nusa Penida with a group of Japanese divers. These divers were leaded by one of our new Japanese guide. This Japanese guide lost the divers for about 20 minutes. The missing divers were found later on by a cruise boat, alive, luckily enough considering the swifting currents in Nusa Penida!
So happened, Bali TV crew was onboard the cruise boat and this became news in Bali! Bali TV reported this to the police and also the Japanese embassy. The police came to Blue Season Bali for investigation, Jonathan Cross pushed it the problem to a local dive guide because the Japanese guide was only an intern working in Blue Season Bali without a legal working permit. As such, on that day when the police investigates, all workers without legal working permit in Blue Season Bali have to wear normal T-shirt instead of the Blue Season Bali staff shirt.
This is the reason why we mentioned in our recent newsletter that "whatever anyone else says about Blue Season Bali, you can rest assured that we are only interested in showing you, our diving friends, what it is like to dive in Bali." We know the whole of Bali diving industry is talking about how we could have lost our divers, but whatever they say, please rest assured that you are in good hands. Real good indeed!
